Hooray
for Hollywood,
began as a play and is also available as a short film. Both puppets and
performers communicate
a fractured tale for adult audiences, set within the child
pornography industry. This
criminal underworld is revealed in flashes and glimpses from a child’s
vantage
point. Laced with black humour and a haunting live
violin score by Susanna Ferrar, it presents a window on both
human
frailty and resilience. It is based on a true story.
The live 40 minute performance is followed by an audience discussion
co-faciltated by Childline or
another local children's charity, and/or the survivor on whose life the
story is based. The play is available for UK and International
touring. The play has toured to sold-out audiences at the 50th
Anniversary of the Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes in
Charleville-Mézières, France and the Bialystok Puppet Festival in
Poland. Enfance
et Partage led the discussion in Charleville-Mézières. The 22 minute film
is available on DVD with a training pack for charities. A live
presentation of the information is available as well. For

the Outspiral website shortly. The film premiered at Amnesty
International on the 4th October 2011 for the Ending Child Pornography
event. A panel discussion followed, featuring representives from Childline, Stop It Now and National
Association for People Abused in Childhood.
